Biography
Research: My research spans food and nutrition security, local food systems, and public health workforce. I have studied food security among Somali-American families in the Midwest, evaluated grocery store interventions in rural food deserts, and examined food environments for food pantry clients and SNAP recipients. My recent research appears in Food Policy, Appetite, and American Journal of Public Health.
