Dick Todd

Richard M. Todd is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota, where he teaches on the economic issues of Indigenous communities. Dr. Todd retired from his position as Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis in 2019. He capped his 39-year career at the Minneapolis Fed by serving as Advisor to its Community Development Department and to the Center for Indian Country Development, which he helped establish. He joined the Bank a research economist in 1980 and served as an officer in the Bank’s discount window, payments system risk, banking supervision, statistical reports,and information technology functions. He has published articles on the economies of  sonal finance, public finance, monetary policy, business cycles, financial regulation, payments systems, and seasonal and spatial economic patterns. Dr. Todd holds a Ph. D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and is a former board member of the National Coalition Against Racism in Sports and Media.
