Our department is the home of Waite Library and AgEcon Search. Both have gift funds that are used to support and enhance ongoing programs and services.

  • AgEcon Search is an online repository with international scope and impact, developed and maintained at the University of Minnesota by the University Libraries and the Department of Applied Economics. It collects, indexes, and electronically distributes free full-text scholarly research papers in applied economics, including sub-disciplines such as agribusiness, food supply, natural resource economics, environmental economics, policy issues, agricultural trade, and economic development. AgEcon Search content is contributed by an international group of over 250 universities, research institutes, and organizations and is used by 15,000 researchers daily from all over the world. AgEcon Search has been awarded the 2020 C. Eugene Allen Award for Innovative International Initiatives; the 2012 Presidential Recognition Award for Special Service to the Association (Agricultural and Applied Economics Association); the 2011 Innovation in Science and Technology Librarianship Award (Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), Science and Technology Section (STS); and the 2007 Oberly Award for Bibliography in the Agricultural or Natural Sciences (ACRL/STS).  Make a Gift Online
